Founded by long term friends Barney and Ben, sons was created with one simple goal: to build a cafΓ© that feels like home. A place centred around great coffee, good food and genuine community.

Why sons
The meaning behind our names helped shape the foundation of Sons: encouragement, warmth and community.
Inspired by the strong sense of togetherness that has long defined East London culture, we wanted to create more than just a cafΓ©. Sons was built to feel welcoming, familiar and rooted in the neighbourhood around it.
A place for great coffee, good food and genuine connection, while leaving a lasting and positive mark on the community for years to come.
